Currency Converter API: Live & Historical Exchange Rates

Hosted on ApyHub

What it does

The Currency Converter API returns the exchange rate between two currencies, such as USD to EUR or USD to INR. Send a source and target currency code in a POST body and get back a JSON object whose data field holds the rate.

By default you get today's rate. Add an optional date in YYYY-MM-DD format to get the rate for a past day, which makes it a historical exchange rate API as well. To convert an amount, multiply it by the returned rate.

Developers use it to show local prices on pricing pages, convert totals at checkout, stamp invoices with the rate on the invoice date, and rebuild financial reports with the rates that applied at the time. Teams looking for a free currency converter API can start on the free tier.

Each request covers one currency pair. When you need several targets at once, the Multi-Currency Converter API returns them in one call.

Pairs well with: the Currencies Dictionary API to fill currency pickers with ISO 4217 codes and symbols, and the Global Pricing Recommendations API to set localized subscription prices before you convert them at checkout. AI agents can call it through ApyHub MCP.
