Validate IBAN Checksum API

What it does

IBAN Validator checks whether a provided IBAN is formatted and structured correctly.

Send an iban string in the query. The value must be between 5 and 40 characters, and the service validates the IBAN structure, country code, length, and checksum according to the IBAN specification.

Use IBAN Validator when you need to catch bad bank account identifiers before they reach payment flows, onboarding forms, or back-office systems. It is a fit for checkout validation, beneficiary setup, and any workflow where a single invalid IBAN can trigger failed transfers or manual review.

If you are normalising financial data from user input or third-party imports, this endpoint gives you a simple check step to gate downstream processing without building IBAN rules yourself.
