Restore old or faded photos API

What it does

Photo Restoration restores old or faded photos from a single uploaded image. Send a photo file in the request body, and the service returns the restored image as binary output.

Use the strength query parameter to control how aggressively the image is enhanced, from 0 to 1. Keep the default value when you want a balanced restoration, or raise it when the photo needs more visible correction. The repair_scratches flag lets you include or skip scratch repair depending on the condition of the source image.

This is a good fit for digitising family archives, improving scanned prints, or cleaning up damaged photos before storage or sharing. Because the endpoint returns an image, you can pass the result straight into your app, media pipeline, or file storage flow without parsing a JSON payload.

Photo Restoration is designed for simple batch or single-image workflows where you need to improve appearance without changing the original upload format.
