What it does

The WAV to MP3 API converts WAV audio into MP3, a much smaller file that plays on almost any device or browser. Send a WAV as a binary file upload (up to 100 MB) or pass the url of a WAV hosted elsewhere. You get back the MP3 as a binary response, or a signed link in data that you can store or share.

Four endpoints cover both inputs and both outputs. Use the upload endpoints for files already in your app and the URL endpoints for audio in cloud storage or on another server. The download endpoints stream the MP3 back in the same call and accept an optional output query parameter to name the file. The link endpoints suit backends that fetch results later.

Teams use this WAV to MP3 converter to shrink call and voice recordings before archiving them, prepare podcast and interview audio for web and mobile playback, and standardize uploads in a media pipeline. What it does
